RTL 2
RTL 2 does a Lapland travel log in cooperation with, among others, BMW. Little Karl in Hamburg has a very long list for Santa Claus, and a good friend offers to deliver it on time for Christmas... Thus begins the story that was filmed in Arvidsjaur.

Heiko Müller, a marketer who works for Hotell Laponia, succeeded in getting the film team to choose Arvidsjaur instead of Rovaniemi as the location for the shoot.

Photo: Kent Norberg

“We love it here in Arvidsjaur, and we’re planning to come back for a visit on our own time,” says a member of the five-man film crew.

Film locations have included central Arvidsjaur, Tomtens Hem at Granberget and Laponia Sameland. The programme, an estimated 20 minutes, will be aired in Germany for an audience of a million viewers on 23 Dec., at 18.00 hrs, on RTL2.

In "Maria Larsson’s Everlasting Moments", director Jan Troell gets to combine his greatest passions: pictures and the early 1900s. Maria Heiskanen ("Il Capitano") plays a young working woman and mother of seven children who wins a camera in a lottery and starts to lead a double life, unbeknownst to her husband (Mikael Persbrandt), a hard-working, hard-drinking ladies’ man. The Danish actor Jesper Christensen (who recently thrilled audiences as the villain in the James Bond film "Casino Royale") plays a photographer, Sebastian "Piff Paff Puff" Pedersen, who teaches Mrs. Larsson to see the world through the camera lens.
